Notice of this tour and hearing was recently posted by the State Parks Off Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVR). The tour is on February 4th and the Commission Hearing is on Friday February 5th.

You need to be at the hearing to make a maximum in-person impact to Save Tesla Park:

OHMVR Commission Meeting to certify CSVRA FEIR and approve General Plan:

Friday, February 5, 2016
8:30 a.m. – until adjournment
Tracy City Hall City Council Chambers
333 Civic Center Plaza Tracy, CA 95736 (map)

Why this hearing is so important:

OHMVR has deliberately not yet released to the public the Final EIR and Draft General Plan they intend to approve on February 5, 2016.  Remember the Draft EIR concluded there were no significant impacts from the existing Carnegie SVRA or opening up Tesla to OHV use.  Rather than address the inadequacies in the Draft EIR identified by the extensive comments from the public, organizations and public agencies, OHMVR will ram through approval of the OHV expansion plan that will destroy Tesla as we know it.

You can help now:

  • Attend the public hearing on February 5, 2016!
  • Contact Assemblymember Baker and Senator Glazer.  Thus far they have not supported Tesla preservation or helped protect Tesla in any way.

Assembly Member Baker’s email: aassemblymember.baker@assembly.ca.gov

Senator Glazer’s email: senator.glazer@senate.ca.gov

  • Donate to Save Tesla at www.teslapark.org .  We need funds for experts to review the Final EIR when it is released and for the next steps.
